Auf jeden Fall hat das Problem nach dem neuesten Stand der Dinge nichts mit Microsoft-Patches zu tun, sondern mit Malware. Die Firma, die den Fix veröffentlicht hat, den Golem.de hier beschreibt, hat sich inzwischen auch bei Microsoft für Fehlinformationen entschuldigt:
We apologize to Microsoft for any inconvenience our blog may have caused. This has been a challenging issue to identify. Users who have the black screen issue referred to can still safely use our free fix tool to restore their desktop icons and task bar.

Danke für den Hinweis (auch an Kaiser} - es soll aber eben nicht nur Malware betreffen. Auch wenn Prevx noch keine Beispiele nannte. Wir haben mittlerweile eine neue Meldung dazu.
