Softmaker als Alternative?

Im Prinzip gefällt mir Softmaker-Office ganz gut, nur ihre Oberfläche ist einfach nur hässlich und sieht nach Windows 3.1 aus ^^
Nun gibt es im neuen Softmaker 2012 für Windows (Linux-Version kommt noch) so eine Outlook-Alternative und es sieht meiner Meinung nach ganz gut aus:

kann die Synchronisation von Kontakten ...
das ist glaube ich besonders ...
interessant finde ich, dass es keinen Exchange-Server-Support gibt ...
oder gibt es den sowieos?
der Exchange-Server-Support ist ja oft das Killerargument für einen E-Mail-Client, oder?
edit:
laut [downloadsquad.switched.com] kann Thunderbird seine E-Mails und Kontakte leicht mit IMAP und LDAP synchronisieren ...
geht das wirklich?
kläre mich auf =)
