18" monitor >>
Requirement Graphics Card:
1280 x 1024 at 32 bit color capability
DVI-I connector
64 Meg memory
Dual monitor capability
Q: What software applications support the SynthaGram Monitor?
A: 3D Studio VIZ /MAX and Maya (Q2 2003) can create images and animations by using the plug-ins delivered with the SynthaGram Monitor system. The SynthaGram Player, TriDef (DDD) and any other software that can display still images can display properly formatted SynthaGram images. We will soon be adding a similar plug-in for MAYA users. The content creation toolkit contains all the application programming interfaces to allow software developers to add SynthaGram Monitor support to their existing applications.
Q: Can I use the SynthaGram Monitor with my existing stereo-enabled software?
A: Not at this time. The method by which the stereo images are created is different. In existing stereo-enabled software, the application generates two images at the same time, one for the left eye and one for the right eye. The two images are displayed sequentially and a separation device (such as CrystalEyes, StereoEyes or Monitor ZScreen) separates the left and right images so that only the correct eye image is seen by each eye. In the case of the Synthagram Monitor, multiple views or images need to be generated simultaneously. The Content Creation Toolkit contains the mechanism to do this.
Q: How does the SynthaGram Monitor work?
A: The SynthaGram Monitor is an autostereoscopic display which uses a lenticular screen, in conjunction with an LCD or plasma monitor to deliver two different images, one to each eye at the same time. Since no eyewear is needed, this is done by the lenticular screen refracting pixel images. In order to ensure a continuous stereo image, many left and right eye images need to be displayed at the same time so that many users can all view stereoscopically and can be positioned anywhere around the screen. Typically, nine perspective views are used whose pixels are first sampled and then mapped so that they will be precisely juxtaposed with the appropriate optical elements. These enable several viewing zones for which viewers can see stereoscopically. -

1280x1024x??
Autor: Christian 28.05.03 - 12:37
Also 1280x1024x1024 wäre z.B. eine Aussage. -

Was willstn du fürn 3D Effekt erreichen, hm? ;-) Reallife Qualität? :-P -

Hallo Christian,
Danke
