Brief an Activision

Na, wird wohl nix bringen. Habe aber trotzdem diesen Brief rausgeschickt. Leider nur über das eMail-Formular auf deren Webseite. Kennt jemand eine echte eMail-Adresse?
"Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm very sorry to hear that you closed down the fan-project "The Silver Lining".
The people that worked for that project are enthusiasts, they love games and they love the series your label happen to hold the licence for.
It is always risky for fan-projects to survive. On one hand there have to be enough people who believe in the project, people who would do everything to revive their most beloved game. On the other hand there are licence holders like you, who are afraid of competitives, wich is, in my opinion, a quite unfounded fear. Why don't you see it as free advertisement?
These people are working in their leasure time, no money is involved, you know? Yes you do. They gathered people from all over the world and invited them to participate in a ambitious project. Hey, and they even *had* the permission to do so!
Now, eight (!) years after the project started and it's nearly finished, Activision Blizzard comes around and stops all actions on the project and - just like that - years of work are gone to virtual nirvana. Just because of commercial concerns.
I love the games that come from Activision Blizzard -- but I disdain rigid actions like this. These decisions are not made by people who love games. But by businessmen who are afraid of something the media calls 'web 2.0'. So let the people participate! Let them make the stuff they love! Let them finish the project! And I assure you, the people, the gamers, your customers, will commend you for being a corporation of this century, not one of the last.
